Royal Oak Pumpkin Carving Competition - Halloween 2026

Our annual Pumpkin Carving Competition is back this Halloween, and we're inviting everyone to get creative and join in!

Pumpkin Carving Competition

Whether you're a pumpkin carving expert or just fancy having a go with the family, we'd love to see what you can come up with.

Simply collect a pumpkin from The Royal Oak, take it home and get carving, then bring your creation back to the pub in time for judging on Halloween evening.

We'll be displaying the entries around the pub, so make sure you pop in to see everyone's spooky creations!

Competition Details

  • Pumpkin collection: From Sunday evening, 25th October
  • Judging: Saturday 31st October (Halloween evening)
  • Entry fee: £2 per pumpkin
  • Prize: A meal for two at The Royal Oak

And don't forget, we'll also be hosting our Halloween Disco on Saturday 31st October, with a DJ, fancy dress and drink specials.

Whether you're entering the competition or just coming along to enjoy the Halloween celebrations, everyone's welcome!
